How To Maximize Your Google Adsense Revenue With An Easy Trick
81I can say with great certainty that this is the #1 question that is pondered by all of the new publishers out there. I’ll admit that I was asking myself this same question when I started out. It’s not as mystifying as it seems. The number one rule to follow for generating huge adsense earnings is to choose a topic that you’re passionate about. It should be a topic that you can write at length about. You should have a lot of say about this topic and you should continue to have a lot to say about this topic as long as you want to continue earning money! Your role as a publisher is to generate content.
Adsense scans through your content and provides ads which reflect the topics that you write about. When users reading your content click on the featured ads, you’re compensated monetarily for each click. The amount of money you receive per click depends on the level of competition between advertisers and the average number of google searches conducted for that keyword. Hubpages uses a technology called YieldBuild to place the optimal high paying ads on your pages, so you don’t need to make any technical adjustments to adsense. All you have to do is write!
Beyond writing about something you like, there are a number of ways you can maximize the revenue generating potential of your writing. In this hub, I will reveal the underlying metrics behind ad clicking and I will show you how you can use these trends to maximize your profits!
So, what exactly NEEDS to be done in order to bring in the mullah?
First, it helps to understand the underlying metrics behind ad clicking. There are a number of questions that come to mind when I think about this topic.
Why do people click ads in the first place?
There are the obvious reasons. The ad looked cool, so they clicked it to see where it led. Or, the ad corresponded to a product that they found interesting and so they clicked. Perhaps they clicked the ad in mistake. Another possibility, however unlikely, sometimes occurs when the reader is somewhat knowledgeable about Adsense. They read your content and enjoy it, so they decide to click a few of your ads so that you are rewarded for creating such great content. Although this does happen from time to time, I’d like to stress that it is a strict violation of Adsense policies to instruct anyone to click any of your Ads. Doing so is a quick way to get your account banned. Thus, I highly recommend that you refrain from such conduct. That being said, let’s move on to question # 2.
What sorts of people click ads in the first place? Are there some demographics who click ads more than others? Are there other demographics who rarely click any
These are very complicated questions with many contributing factors. If I had to make a generalization, I’d put it this way. People with less technological knowledge tend to click more ads. People with more technological knowledge tend to click fewer ads. Why is this? There are a few reasons. The most important reason is this. People who are more knowledgeable about the internet and technology already know where to go when they shop online. For this reason, they tend to ignore any ads that pop up. It’s like someone giving you directions to somewhere you’ve been 100 times - you tend to ignore them. Less technically savvy people, on the other hand, are likely far less familiar with e-commerce. For this reason, they will be more receptive to the ads that pop up on your pages. As a result, they will be more likely to click them. Now, on to question 3!
What sorts of keywords/content do these high-volume clickers tend to gravitate towards? What sorts of keywords/content do these low-volume clickers tend to grav
This is a very broad question, so naturally, the possible answers are just as broad. As a rule, you can write about whatever you want. If you’re really passionate about something you’re going to want to write about it more. The more you write, the more money you will earn – regardless of the topic. That being said, there are topics that will earn you more per capita than others. Generally speaking, if you write about topics that appeal to people of a non-technical nature, you will tend to earn more money through ad clicks. On the flipside, if you write about more technically complex topics, you will tend to earn far less from your ads(for the aforementioned reasons). Good topics might include: religion, music, knitting, painting, sculpting, gardening, writing, editorials on current events, traveling, etc. Have some fun with it. The highest paying ads are those for insurance companies. However, I can’t imagine many people who want to write about that (well maybe the current health insurance debacle…). Some bad topics include: gaming, computer programming, server administration, internet technology, etc. I still write about some of this stuff because I’m into technology, though, I know full well not to expect much profit from these pages. But, like I said, you can write about pretty much anything you’re passionate about. Don’t be discouraged if I included your favorite topic in the bad topic list! Keep writing and eventually the cash will start rolling in! I hope you enjoyed my commentary regarding Adsense Ads.
